The Snow Zone

The Spires College Ski Trip

Greetings from St Anton

After a long coach journey we arrived in time for a ski fit and some hot food. Most people were a bit tired so an early night was had...after a few games of pool. Sunday was a good day up the mountain withe instructors being very impressed with how quickly everyone was learning. Alex Richards won the hat on day one for forming a close bond with a snow drift. We all had lunch at the gondola station and a big well done to Sam who managed the five more mouthfuls I made him eat.

Day two...rainy in the valley but snowing up the mountain...which led to a big snowball fight (that I didn't start...honest). We had a good ski for three hours in the morning but conditions weren't great so we stopped a little early. Tonight we are going bowling after dinner and tomorrow we are on the mountain for 9 o'clock. Special mention to Evelyn who hurt her knee but was very brave...nothing broken except her street cred when the man at the first aid post made her wear blue crocs when she took her ski boots off. I will let you know later how the bowling went and who did the daftest thing of the day and ends up wearing a giant chicken hat. If Alex gives it back that is...I think he's getting quite attached to it.
